Welcome to the The Greyhound Inn; a traditional country pub full of character. Nestled in the village of Staple Fitzpaine, Taunton, The Greyhound Inn exudes rural charm. This early 19th century pub, which in 2019 had a major renovation, has a series of rambling, interconnecting rooms providing a rustic mix of flagstones, old timbers and natural stone floors and walls.
With its delicious pub food classics and comforting dishes, the Greyhound provides welcome refreshment and accommodation on the doorstep of the Black Down Hills. At this charming Inn you are always guaranteed a warm hospitable welcome, a great offering of drinks, and quality traditional pub food.
Open all day as usual. Lunch served from 12:00 until 14:00. Christmas Eve dinner served from 18:00 until 21:00. On the evening of Christmas Eve we offer a special menu for the occasion, please see our menus page or click the link below. For the evening a booking and pre-order is required - please give us a call.
Open for drinks only between 12:00 and 15:00.
Open from 12:00 until 18:00. Sunday lunch served from 12:00 until 15:30.
Open longer than usual, until the last one leaves. We will provide traditional Dutch 'oliebollen' and a glass of bubbly at midnight!
